Immaculate Conception Chaplet
|
This is a depiction of what the Immaculate Conception Chaplet looks like. |
This chaplet was composed by St. John Berchmanns, S.J., and is to be recited daily in order to obtain, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the grace of never committing any sin against the virtue of purity.
Begin with the Sign of the Cross
- On single bead, pray the following:
O God, come to my aid; O Lord make haste to help me. I thank Thee, O eternal Father because of Thy power, Thou didst preserve Mary Thy most Blessed Daughter from the stain of original sin.
On the medal, pray one Our Father
On each of the four small beads say the Hail Mary, adding after each, "Blessed be the pure, holy and immaculate conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
- On large bead say:
I thank Thee, O eternal son, because of Thy wisdom thou didst preserve, Mary Thy most Blessed Mother from the stain of original sin.
Then, an Our Father
On each of the four small beads say the Hail Mary, again adding after each, "Blessed be the pure, holy and immaculate conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
On next large bead say:
I thank Thee, O Holy Spirit, because by Thy love thou didst preserve Mary, Thy most Blessed spouse from the stain of original sin.
Then, an Our Father
On each of the four small beads say the Hail Mary, again adding after each, "Blessed be the pure, holy and immaculate conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
Conclude with the Glory be to the Father in honor of the purity of Saint Joseph.
