 Welcome to CatholicPrayerbook.net. This site is an offshoot of my website, CatholicQuiver, which I have regrettably closed. In my administration of that site, Jim and I endeavored to create helpful utilities for our visitors. Of all of the things that were born out of CQ, this program is what we are most proud of. A little history. In my pursuit to find prayers on the internet, I found one of the biggest problems was not locating them, but gathering all the various pages together so that I could recite them on a day-to-day basis. This would mean typing (or cut-and-pasting) the prayers into a word processing program to compile a list, or sometimes printing an entire webpage for one small prayer. I realized there had to be a better way. So, Jim and I developed the Prayerbook Creator. With this program, you simply pick the prayers you want and the program will generate a personalized list you can print out quickly. This allows you to customize a "prayerbook" with only the devotions you want. In addition, prayerbooks will be kept on our server for a period of 6 months, so if you lose your copy, you can come back and print another one. (We do urge all users to download a copy to their own computer, so you have it indefinitely.) In addition, you can generate a totally printer-friendly page, or make one using one of our many colorful backgrounds. That's not all. In our belief that prayers should be shared and spread (without cost), the web-version of the page will be created in simple HTML, so you can upload it to your personal webpage or blog. We have many prayers featured. Most were compiled with a mind toward large families, since that was the theme of Catholic Quiver. However, you will also find some wonderful prayers for homeschoolers, and different occupations, including webmasters. Also, there are many prayers that are non-denominational, so all faiths are invited to enter. In addition, we have plans to expand the prayer listing in the future, to feature other prayers and devotions. Below you will find two links. One will bring you to the listing page, where you can browse the various prayers, and even obtain single copies of individual prayers. The other link will be to the prayerbook generator itself. We have taken great effort to make this utility as user-friendly as possible. We hope you will find it so, and that it useful in helping you expand your prayer life.
